Jeffrey’s graduation, in 1972, from Otago University’s School of Dentistry with prizes in pediatric dentistry and periodontics was followed by hospital dental practice in Christchurch, Pakistan and then, after gaining his MDS (Otago) in 1981, specialist orthodontic practice in Lismore, NSW Australia.

His return in 1997 to Otago University for three years as senior lecturer in orthodontics preceded further private orthodontic practice in Wellington, New Zealand. In 2010 was Jeffrey was appointed senior lecturer fulltime by the Auckland University of Technology’s Department of Oral Health BHSc programme and in January 2011 was seconded to Head of Department.

His main interests are orthodontic auxiliary training and the oral health of young pregnant women.
